“How do you let them go?”, that’s usually the first question people ask when they find out we foster huskies. Most people would be sad but for me, it’s more about the amazing feeling when you get to see the dogs go to a family you know will treat them well, and there’s always another doggie who’s looking for a foster.
Did you know that many of our 285 rescue partners save dogs and puppies from rural and remote areas? With limited positive outcomes in these areas, most of these souls wouldn't stand a chance, but some shining lights are making a difference in the background, saving hundreds of lives a year.
This sweet girl unfortunately found herself in a cold concrete kennel at the pound heavily pregnant and facing an uncertain fate.
We'll be sharing foster carers' first-hand experiences, both to celebrate and thank them for their amazing work, and also with the hope of encouraging more of you to get in touch with your local rescue and see if you too could be a life saver!
