Paws a Moment & Rescue

Paws A Moment & Rescue are a small group of dedicated volunteers who assist in rehoming animals in need. We are based on the Central Coast NSW and Sydney, with carers as far north as Newcastle. All the animals who come into care are placed in loving foster homes while they await vet work to be done and in some cases, rehabilitation. Once the animal is ready for adoption, they will be advertised so that we can find their forever home. Adopters will be asked to provide answers to a range of questions so that we can be assured they are going to the best homes. Yard/house checks will also be carried out prior to an adoption. We also aim to educate the public on responsible pet ownership and the importance of desexing your pets, to reduce the number of Dogs and Cats euthanised each year in Pounds/Shelters. All our animals available for adoption will come Microchipped, Vaccinated, Desexed, Wormed and Flea Treated. They will all have had a complete vet check prior to adoption.

Adoption Policy: Strict

If you would like to express interest in adopting, we ask that you send through some info about yourself, your family and home, if you rent or own (rental agreement required if renting and rates notice required if you own) and what you can offer one of our beautiful fosters. Our aim is to find the best homes for our babies, not necessarily first in best dressed, so a good detailed application will make you stand out from the rest. Once we have received your email outlining the above, those who we feel may be suitable, will be sent an Adoption Questionnaire to complete. Your enquiry will then be passed onto the appropriate carer and successful applicants will be contacted via phone. We offer a 2 week trial period with all our Adoptions. Yard/house checks will be carried out prior to an Adoption.
