Mareeba Animal Refuge

Friends of the Animals Inc trading as Mareeba Animal Refuge has been rescuing cats and dogs from the Mareeba Shire, Tablelands, Cairns, Innisfail and all over the Cape since 2007. We take in owner surrenders, found, dumped and unwanted pets. We see countless litters of unwanted puppies and kittens. Animals arrive to our care in all sorts of conditions we do our absolute best to rehabilitate and provide the best care possible. We work closely with our local vet, council, businesses and community. We are open 7 days a week, 365 days a year, 8am to 4pm at 35 Hickling Avenue Mareeba.

Adoption Policy: Flexible

Our adoption process is quick, easy and done in person at the refuge. Talk with our wonderful staff and they will help you find the best match to your home and lifestyle. You must have proof you are allowed an animal where you are staying especially if renting. Good fencing is a requirement.
