Seniors and Silky Rescue

Seniors and Silky Rescue (SSR) is a small not for profit rescue located in Sydney. We take on dogs from pounds and surrendered dogs. All our foster dog's live in their carers home as they receive the necessary vet treatment and rehabilitation When they are ready we start the search for their forever home who can provide care for the rest of their life. We also offer lifetime back up for dogs that have been adopted. We firmly believe once a dog is rescued, they are rescued for life. We offer adopters support and guidance through the adoption process once one of our dogs has been matched to the potential adopter's home. We encourage regular contact and love to hear updates of dogs that are in their forever home.

Adoption Policy: Strict

We ask that all potential adopters fill out the adoption form which can be found on our website. We do our best to match the right dog to the right home to ensure both dog and human have a wonderful future that suits their needs and lifestyle. We endeavour to get back to applicants as soon as possible. Successful applications will be emailed and will receive a call from one of our volunteers. Home checks will be carried out prior to adoption. Long distance adopters will need to travel to Sydney for adoption. It's rare that we have a dog suited to third party transport.
