Angel-Paws Inc.

Angel-Paws Inc. is a Townsville based charity that specialises in offering abandoned and rejected animals a second chance at life. We take in animals from across North Queensland and work with vets and foster carers to bring them to full health before finding them a new home. Angel-Paws Inc. is run entirely by passionate volunteers who work tirelessly to help our four-legged friends find a well-deserved forever home. We are a no-kill organisation which means that we are committed to every animal we accept.

Adoption Policy: Strict

We know that most people want to take their pet with them on the spot when they meet the animal and want to adopt. Angel-Paws Inc. does not allow this for a few reasons. Once the adoption form is filled out online it is given to our senior animal coordinators to assess. This assessment also includes a property check. To adopt one of our cats we require that the house is fully secure as all of our cats are indoor cats only. For our dogs we require a secure, safe and tidy yard appropriate for the animal. When your application is approved you will be sent bank details. Once you have paid the foster carer will then contact you to arrange handover of your animal. This process can take between 24 hours - 96 hours depending on your location. We have this process in place to ensure our animals are going to the right home. It also gives the adoptee time to commit to the idea of having a new pet and have time to really consider and be certain it is the right decision
