Denise at Paws (DAP) is a registered not for profit dog rescue organisation with tax deductibility for all donations $2 and over. We are run solely by volunteers who give their time freely to help homeless dogs in need. The dogs that we rescue can come from any number of places: Pounds in the Sydney metropolitan area, back yard breeders who no longer have any use for their breeding dogs, \ puppy farmers who have finished using their breeding stock and also private surrenders from people who are no longer able to care for their dog. We are of the opinion that dogs from all of these situations need our help, and we don’t discriminate, we will help any dog that we possibly can. Adoption Policy: Strict

If you are interested in adopting one of our rescue dogs please email and tell us all about your family, other pets, lifestyle, accommodation and anything else relevant to your enquiry, this information helps us to know if the dog you are enquiring about will suit your family. As all of our rescue dogs are in foster care in private homes we know what our dogs want and need to keep them happy when they are adopted by their new family. Home visits are done to check fencing, meet family members and other animals in the home. Once the home check is complete you are welcome to visit the dog in his foster home and all going well the dog will go on a two week trial with your family. We are always happy to extend the trial period if necessary. If for any reason at any time the adoption fails please contact us immediately, we will always take our dogs back into care
