OLDIES BUT GOODIES Oldies but Goodies is a foster-based rescue based in Perth Western Australia. The focus is on middle aged to older dogs with simple to complex needs and the occasional youngster who that has run out of options. I have previously founded two well-known Perth rescues and taken them from concept through to full accredited charitable status. I established Oldies But Goodies as a one woman organisation to ensure the standards I set for myself and the dogs I help are met. I have decades of experience working with rescue dogs and over time have established and built excellent working relationships with councils, vets and specialists. My priority is placing the dogs in my care with experienced foster carers for behavioural assessment and initial vet work. I cover all vet costs until they can be matched and placed with their forever families. All dogs in care receive comprehensive vet work with ongoing support and advice. I offer foster to adopt arrangements to ensure the dogs needs are met and they are matched with people that can provide the love and care they need. If palliative care is required, I work closely with forever foster-carers to ensure every dog has access to whatever they need to be comfortable and cared for till the end. In these circumstances I cover the vet bills. ADOPTION POLICY: MODERATE Fostering or Foster to Adopt from Oldies but Goodies If you are Perth based and interested in becoming a foster carer for senior dogs please text 0408779023 and an expression of interest form will be sent to you to fill in and return. Successful applicants will receive a phone call to arrange a 'Meet and Greet' with myself and the dog for a house and fence check before a trial period with the dog to ensure a great match for all involved. All dogs are placed in foster to allow me time to work with you on any medical or behavioural issues. There is no set time period but dogs are usually adopted from 1 to 3 months. It has proven to be a very successful process. OBG dogs have comprehensive vet work including vaccinations, microchip and are desexed prior to adoption. I have long standing relationships with a number of Perth vets. For this reason, I prefer to place dogs within the Perth metropolitan area. I work full time my ability to take calls is limited. I endeavour to respond to your text message as soon as possible. Your support and patience is greatly appreciated.
