Liberty Foundation

Liberty Foundation is a not-for-profit with the sole aim of rehoming animals from research establishments that can go on to lead healthy, happy and fulfilling lives in the community as cherished pets and companions. Since 2017 Liberty Foundation has rehomed hundreds of animals from research in Australia including a dogs, cats, rats, mice guinea pigs, rabbits and fish.

Adoption Policy: Strict

We ask people to complete an expression of interest form to obtain basic information about their interest in and suitability for adoption. We then follow up with a Zoom/Skype/Facetime meeting to discuss their situation and what kind of home set up they have for adopting specific animals. If they are suitable to adopt, we then arrange a time to deliver the animal/s to their premises and they sign a comprehensive adoption agreement form and pay an adoption fee.
