Diamond In The Ruff Rescue

Diamond in the Ruff Rescue is a volunteer-run, foster-based dog rescue dedicated to giving dogs in need a genuine second chance. We assist dogs from pounds and shelters, those who have been abandoned or surrendered, and dogs whose circumstances have left them needing a safe place to land. For us, rescue is about much more than simply finding a new home. Every dog deserves the opportunity to feel safe, receive the veterinary care they need, recover from their past and be given the time and support to become the best version of themselves. Our dogs are cared for in loving foster homes within the community, where we can learn about their individual personalities, needs and behaviours. When they are ready, we carefully search for the right home through a thorough adoption process focused on finding the best possible match — not simply the quickest one. Some dogs come to us needing routine veterinary care. Others require extensive medical treatment, rehabilitation, behavioural support or simply time, patience and understanding. Whatever their journey, we are committed to standing by them. We believe rescue works best through **compassion, collaboration, communication and education**, with our foster carers, adopters, volunteers, veterinary teams, trainers, supporters and the wider community all playing an important part.
