Schnauzer Rescue Queensland

Schnauzer Rescue Queensland Inc (SRQ) is a small, dedicated, volunteer‑run Not-For-Profit rescue organisation specialising in the ethical rehoming of schnauzers across all three breed sizes. For more than 13 years, we have supported families through the difficult decision to surrender their dog, ensuring every dog is placed in a safe, loving, and carefully selected home. SRQ is operated entirely by unpaid volunteers who are deeply committed to the welfare of schnauzers. Collectively, our team personally owns 17 schnauzers, giving us hands‑on experience with the breed’s needs, quirks, health considerations, and behavioural traits. Over the past 10 years, we have successfully facilitated approximately 150 rehomes, many of whom we remain in contact with today. Our work is grounded in compassion, transparency, and professionalism.

Adoption Policy: Strict

Strict. All potential adopters or foster carers must complete our Wait List application in full. Short listed applicants will contacted. A phone interview, home & yard check are mandatory prior to a Meet & Greet. Photo ID may be requested. SE Queensland/Northern NSW applicants preferred.
