Byron Dog Rescue

Byron Dog Rescue (formerly CAWI) is a volunteer-run organisation dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming unwanted or surrendered dogs across the Byron Shire. Situated in a peaceful, rural setting, we provide care for orphaned, sick, and injured dogs, offering them safety, healing, and a second chance at life!

Adoption Policy: Moderate

We focus on finding the right fit for our dogs and their future families. There is an adoption fee, which is displayed on each dog’s advert. ​We offer a 2-week trial period to ensure the match works for both you and the dog, and if it doesn’t, we’ll take them back.
