One Rescue Incorporated is an ACNC-registered, DGR-endorsed animal rescue charity based in NSW dedicated to saving, rehabilitating and rehoming vulnerable animals, with a strong focus on street and abandoned cats. We specialise in lost pet search, trap and rescue operations, using humane traps, surveillance cameras and field expertise to reunite animals with their owners or bring them to safety. Our team responds to urgent cases at no cost to the community, particularly during emergencies and disasters. In addition to rescue work, we actively reduce animal overpopulation through desexing, vaccination and microchipping programs. We work closely with local communities to promote responsible pet ownership and protect both domestic animals and native wildlife. Animals in our care are rehabilitated, socialised and placed into suitable forever homes, ensuring long-term positive outcomes. Every dollar raised goes directly towards vet care, rescue equipment and saving more lives.
Adoption Policy: Strict
All animals in our care are placed into carefully assessed, suitable homes to ensure lifelong outcomes. Potential adopters are required to complete an application form, followed by a screening process which may include phone interviews and reference checks. We assess each application based on the needs of the individual animal, including lifestyle, experience and home environment. All cats and kittens must be kept strictly indoors to protect both the animal and native wildlife. Dogs must be placed in secure, safe environments with appropriate fencing and care. All animals are desexed, microchipped and vaccinated prior to adoption unless medically exempt. Adoption fees help cover veterinary care and ongoing rescue efforts. We are committed to responsible rehoming and reserve the right to decline applications where a suitable match is not identified.
