4 The Love of Cats

4 the Love of Cats is a closed intake rescue that has been established to work in conjunction with local pounds and rescues to help reduce their euthanasia rates. While the rescue has the facilities to cater from kittens to senior cats the focus will be on vetting and then rehoming cats that other groups do not have the space or capacity to bring into care. Each cat or kitten will be microchipped, desexed, vaccinated, wormed and flea treated before being adopted to the public. Felines will remain in care from the time of collection from the pound until their forever home is found. It does not matter the length of time it takes to find a cat their human, they will not be euthanised . 4 The Love of Cats adoptees will always have a place at the rescue. If an adopters circumstances change 4 The Love of Cats will bring the cat back into care as soon as there is space. This is in effect for the life of the cat.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS By signing this form, I acknowledge that I am adopting my cat, dog or kitten ‘as is’ and release 4 The Love of Cats (TLC) from all responsibilities and liabilities with this animal from today’s date forward: _______________ I agree to provide my animal with: • Sufficient food and water that is appropriate to their age and condition. • Appropriate shelter from the environment and a comfortable resting area. • Vet care for my cat, dog or kitten in the event of, or to prevent, pain, injury or disease. • Freedom to express normal behaviour and protection from fear and distress. • Freedom to spend time with or away from other cats and animals as appropriate. • If I can no longer keep this cat or dog, I will return it to 4TLC. I will not sell, give away, surrender to a pound, or rehome this cat to any other party. • I am 18 years of age or older. • All adult members of my household agree to this adoption. • If I am renting, I have my landlord’s or property manager’s approval to keep a cat/dog at this address. • I will keep this cat or dog on my property. I will not allow this animal to roam freely outdoors. • I acknowledge I have been told about any known medical or behavioural needs of this cat and accept the cat or dog“as is” based on that disclosure. PRIVACY: 4TLC holds your contact details to register the microchip transfer, support post-adoption follow-up, and meet legal record-keeping requirements.
