YP PUPPY RESCUE
BIN or Source Number: DACO133694
We are a small but very active rescue on the Yorke Peninsula, working with our local pounds as well as the pound in Port Pirie. We welcome surprise/unwanted puppies, pregnant Mumma dogs, our expertise lays with rearing these babies and ensuring they find amazing homes. We always offer to pay for the de-sexing of any Mum dog whose puppies we receive, so there are no more surprises! We are also well known for loving and caring for those dogs owned by people who find themselves unable to take their friends to retirement villages or homes, these dogs either stay within the rescue if they are frail/elderly, receiving all veterinary support needed for a comfortable and happy life. If the dogs are able to be re-homed, we ensure that all vet work is up to date, assess temperaments, pop them into foster homes then find a new family to love them. We also help our community, by having a food bank to assist anyone who just needs a helping hand, we are non judgmental, and will drop off cat/dog food to an agreed destination, deliver it to the local vets, or take it to whomever needs it where we can. We do not ever use social media to identify anyone who asks for our help. Full confidentiality is assured. We also work closely with the mental health offices on the YP and also assist Domestic violence victims by boarding their pets, free of charge, until safe for the animal to be returned home. We can, at times, rescue kittens. YPPR ensures every rescue pup, dog and kitten is de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped, they are wormed regularly, treated for external parasites and are fed on premium food at all times. Older dogs receive training if needed, puppies have basic manners when they leave and kittens are just adorable, becoming accustomed to dogs, people, noise, all the things little ones need to be unafraid of! Puppies leave us with all their vet work done, plus; new collar, lead, a harness and seat belt extender; night time teddy, toys, a selection of the natural hard chewing treats we buy, a free Advocate spot on and a free Drontal all wormer; all veterinary paperwork is in the adoption pack plus, a YPPR blanket and car sticker! Older dogs receive the above apart from the night time teddy; they come out on a minimum 2 week trial, with back up at all times from the rescue. We may be small, but we achieve.. "One by one, we will save them"
